Description Knitwit Cotton Knit Fabric Vera is our top quality pure cotton knit in a wide range of colours. It is a medium (t-shirt) weight and suitable for more casual tops. Cotton 100% 145cm wide Mediumweight – 210gsm Knitwit Vera Cotton Knit is low stretch, by which we mean less than 25%. If your pattern is sized for a medium stretch (25-35%) fabric, you can still use it, but you may need to cut out a size bigger. Knitwit Vera Cotton Knit is a two way stretch, by which we mean the fabric stretches in 1 direction only, from selvedge to selvedge. Again, if your pattern is sized for a four way stretch fabric, you can still use it, but you may again need to cut out a size bigger. You will need stretch needles for sewing knit fabrics. Use Schmetz Stretch needles – 75/11 on fine knit fabrics, and 90/14 on other knit fabrics. Start each new project with a fresh needle, especially if the fabric contains cotton or wool. Blunt needles can leave holes on the stitching line.
