Designed for the square newel posts like the Chamfered, Ovolo & Blank newels, the 90mm Flat cap would also grace any of our round newel posts such as the Georgian, Twist, Colonial or Oxford patterns. All Newel post caps are available in halves, please click on the ‘Options’ drop down tab below for more information. The 90mm Flat cap is actually 115mm square at its widest point and is then recessed on the underside to 90mm square. The overall height is 30mm. A lot of customers also use the Flat newel cap when fixing a square pin newel onto a square basepost, this is to give a neater joint. They drill a hole in the middle of the Flat newel cap so that the pin can pass through and the cap sits neatly between the two posts. Just as with all our stair parts, the Flat newel caps are available in Pine, Hemlock, Sapele, Ash & Oak.
